Helping HAND is a home-repair program designed to help homeowners live in healthy, safe and attractive housing. Through the program we hope to build strong partnerships with residents, neighborhood associations, government and community agencies to revitalize and restore the housing conditions for existing homeowners.
Repairs address health and safety issues and accessibility or aging-in-place modifications. They could include roofing, gutters, energy efficient improvements, heating, plumbing or exterior painting. The primary purpose is to improve accessibility, improve efficiency and affordability and improve the exterior of the home. Homeowners are asked to pay a portion of the project cost.
