Helping HAND is a home repair program designed to help homeowners live in healthy, safe and attractive housing. Through the program we hope to build strong partnerships with residents, neighborhood associations, government and community agencies to revitalize and restore the housing conditions for existing homeowners. Our goal in the first year is to coordinate ten home repair projects, and to more than double the funding currently allocated to this service in Hamilton County.
Repairs will address health and safety issues and accessibility or Aging in Place modifications. They could include roofing, gutters, energy efficient improvements, heating, plumbing or exterior painting. The primary purpose is to improve accessibility, improve efficiency and affordability and improve the exterior of the home. Homeowners will be asked to pay a portion of the project cost.
