HAND has a limited amount of Neighborhood Assistance Program tax credits available to supporters who make a charitable donation of at least $100 starting July 1, 2022. The state NAP credits were established to encourage gifts to organizations like ours that serve low-income residents and communities.
When you reserve credits and make a donation to HAND by the end of 2022, you will receive a state tax credit equal to 50 percent of the gift — in addition to any federal tax deductions you claim for charitable contributions.
So a $500 gift will lower your state tax liability by $250, AND you can still include the entire donation on your federal return. Talk about stretching your dollar!
As a public charity, HAND relies on donations to fund its activities, including a home-repair program for low- and moderate-income homeowners.
Reserve your NAP credit today and make a donation to help us build community in Hamilton and Boone counties. Tax credits are awarded on a first-come, first-served basis, so it pays to act now.
